The American Nutrient Database is a simple program that gives American nutritional information on over 7000 foods.

The American Nutrient Database gives American nutrient values including American fortification standards, for 46 nutrients, for over 7000 foods. It lets you select different serving sizes for each food item and all values are updated automatically.

This program also gives you the percent of Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) for 28 nutrients in each food selection.

Special Note on Indigenous Foods:

There is an indigenous food section to this database. In the food classification "Ethnic", there is a collection of 89 indigenous foodstuffs including moose, caribou, whale, native fishes and native corn products. These are foodstuffs you won't find in the stores.
