What We Did for Chris

About Chris

Chris has two businesses, a Lawn Car Business and a Vehicle Wash Business. His concern was the Lawn Care Business. Scheduling clients for each day and assigning clients to crews each day was taking an incredible amount of time.

What Was Done

A management program was developed that:

  1. Allowed him to enter a list of services provided by his company
  2. Allowed him to enter all of his clients into a clients database
  3. Allowed him to assign specific services ordered to each client with THAT client's price for each service (differential pricing)
  4. Allowed him to schedule work for each day
  5. He could view the jobs scheduled on any date and see jobs scheduled seven days forward and seven days back on the same screen and their status as complete or incomplete
  6. Allowed him to assign the jobs to various crews
  7. Allowed him to monitor completion of the jobs
  8. Automatically billed and invoiced each client
  9. Allowed him to register deposits
  10. Created income statements and aged accounts receivables statements

The Result

It has saved him the time he wanted and functioned so well that he commissioned a second independent copy of the program to run his Vehicle Wash business.

 Followup

Chris has had features added to the program as he sees the need. Among other features, Activity Monitoring has been added. This allows Chris to select a service and a time period and instantly see who has ordered this service, who has had work scheduled over that period and who hasn't. He is now also able to schedule directly from the activity monitoring screen. In addition to this a data mining function has been added allowing him to examine his accounts in detail to see where the profit centres are.

Chris has also grown enough that the program is now run over a network instead of as a single user program.
